Off-Campus/Remote Access

There are 2 ways for UCSD students, faculty and staff to access licensed library resources (databases, e-books and e-journals) from off-campus:

Method What you do You can access
Proxy

1.  Make a change to your web browser settings.

2. When you come to the library website, you'll be prompted to enter your UCSD network username and password.

3. Then you can return to this site and access resources.

All e-journals, e-books and most databases (including SciFinder Web), except "client-based" databases: SciFinder Scholar, Beilstein and Gmelin.
VPN Download and install VPN AnyConnect client software--not the WebVPN. When you're online, launch and run VPN (select the althruucsd option). UCSD username and password required. All licensed resources, including SciFinder Scholar, Beilstein and Gmelin.
